Training
Brazilian Government 101
PATRI set up courses, seminars, and workshops about how the Brazilian Government works. Foreign executives who come to Brazil to run multinational capital businesses may benefit from this type of information, as do diplomats, journalists, and directors of non-government organizations. The training includes in-loco visits to the National Congress, Supreme Courts of Justice, among other federal agencies.
US Government 101
PATRI can organize customized training programs where Brazil-based organizations can come to the United States to learn how the US government works and what role all the different organizations play in the policy making processes. In summary, the aim is to infuse a better understanding f how all these actors interact with one another in the process of developing public policy in the United States.
Citizenship Program
The Citizenship Program was created with the main objective of showing how the contemporary Brazilian State functions and the relationship between democracy and public policy. Through lectures, visits to the places where public and authority hearings are held, the participants have the opportunity to see the political reality, almost always distant from the majority’s daily routine. This is done with the belief that the better the people are acquainted with public institutions, the more engaged they will be with the democratic process.
